Personal care

Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living

Our caregivers provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks that allow clients to maintain health, hygiene, and dignity in their own homes. Every task is performed according to the client's individual Service Plan — at their pace, in their way.

Our story

Founded on purpose. Built to last.

Absolute Choice Home Care was founded in Indianapolis with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, person-centered home care services to individuals who need them most — and to do so with the professionalism, training, and accountability that families deserve.

We chose to specialize in developmental disabilities and autism support because we believe these individuals and their families have often been underserved by agencies that treat everyone the same. The care required to genuinely support someone with autism demands specific training, specific values, and a specific commitment to showing up differently.

That is the agency we built. Licensed by the Indiana State Department of Health, regulated under 410 IAC 17 and IC 16-27-1, and held to standards we set for ourselves — not just the ones regulators require.

Basic requirements for all positions

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Cleared criminal background check
  • Negative TB screening
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Cleared OIG and state exclusion checks
  • Smartphone for Electronic Visit Verification
  • Pass written competency exam (80% minimum)

Every client of this agency has the following rights, which shall never be abridged:

  • To be treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy at all times without discrimination
  • To have personal health information kept confidential under HIPAA and Indiana law
  • To participate in developing, reviewing, and changing your Service Plan
  • To accept or refuse any service and to be informed of the consequences of that refusal
  • To be free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, restraint, and seclusion of any kind
  • To file a complaint with the agency without fear of retaliation or loss of services
  • To contact ISDH directly at 1-800-246-8909 at any time
  • To have your authorized representative make decisions on your behalf
  • To use your AAC device or other communication support at all times without restriction
